These explosion proof fans are engineer approved fans that work extremely well for the C1D1 extraction room environment. It is extremely important to purchase the correct explosion proof fans when building your C1D1 or C1D2 extraction room or booth. Please note, these fans should be purchased in sets of two, one fan for intake and one fan for exhaust. These fans are approved for rooms up to 390sq feet with a ceiling height of 14'. However, you should always take our fan specs to your mechanical engineer to determine they meet the air flow requirements for any static pressure drops and ducting designs / interior space, and MAU compatibility. It is important that the room surrounding them is always free of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids; combustible dust; or ignitable fibers or flyings. (the room your extraction room sits in). These fans can also be purchased with fan covers so they can be placed outside of a building. Just add this with the drop downs below. In order to meet compliance these fans need to be interlocked with your lights and sensor. C1D1 labs provides a UL listed control panel that has these programmed as well as a digital interface which controls the power of each fan with built-in approved VFDs for these fans. NOTE: only 3 phase explosion proof fans can have VFDs control the fan speed (required for purging in an extraction room). Our UL listed control panel steps down the required power so they can both be controlled with VFDs AND powered with 208-240 single phase electrical.
